I stopped at my favorite Goodwill store the other day and found a cute, broken chandelier, and instantly knew what I wanted to do with it. I have been wanting an outdoor solar chandelier for a long time, I had already purchased the lights at the dollar store, but didn’t see a light that I thought would fit my style. Until now !!

I started working on it immediately, I stripped out the electrical wires and lights and cleaned up the metal and porcelain. I glued the tops of the solar lights to the fixtures and hung it from a branch over a table I have under a tree. I couldn’t wait until it turned dark !

In the dark..
This little broken ugly old chandelier has found new purpose and adds a romantic and beautiful addition to my eclectic backyard. This is one of my favorite repurpose projects and all for around 10 dollars. Did I mention, I love it !!

About Liz
I am a very casual woman, I live in sloppy shoes, wear jeans and loose fitting clothing almost every day. I work from home and occasionally visit clients at their homes. I share my home with a stubborn old cat named Peanut, an adorable little rescue puppy named Abigail and my better half Don.
I love my home, but better yet, I love what I have done around my home. I love to build things with wood, take someones throw aways and repurpose it into something I love. Finding furniture on the roadside is my biggest addiction, a little chalk paint and new knobs, win win!
My style is hard to explain, early recycle? lol, shabby country, shabby chic, early roadside? I love making STUFF, all stuff 🙂 I love the feeling of doing things myself. Want to know anything else? Feel free to ask… Sincerely, Liz

Thank you, it was so much fun to make 🙂 I love your fresh veggies, is that cauliflower? I am growing it for the first time this year, and they said if I didn’t cover it, it would be purple. I like purple !!
Yes, it is cauliflower. The color is so beautiful and it tastes good too.
Thank you, I won’t cover it !! I can’t wait, will make a beautiful vegetable platter 🙂

Thank you.
What a great idea, it looks gorgeous outside.
Thank you, I love sitting on my back porch at night and looking at solar lights. It is a bit bent, but I don’t care 🙂
I wouldn’t either. I’m not much of a chandelier person but my dil loves them so I sent her the link so she can create her own oasis when she finds the perfect one.
