Keep Calm and Pinch On

Welcome to the Collectively Creative Lucky Edition, hosted by Kelly of Cobwebs, Cupcakes & Crayons!

What does keep calm and pinch on mean?

Pinching people is a St. Patrick’s day game. People who wear green pinch people who don’t.  “Pinch on” simply means “continue pinching.”

I like St. Patrick’s Day, but I don’t usually spend a lot of time decorating for this day.  The first thing I usually do is……  change the outfit on my geese.  Yes, geese, lol.  A very long time ago a very good friend of mine gave me geese, with a complete wardrobe.  You’re never too old to enjoy playing dress up with your stylish resin geese.  Thank you Molly 🙂

I love to decorate my fireplace and wanted to do something simple, and I LOVE bunting.  I saw this cute tutorial and decided to make it.  My friends give me their old books that are all beat up, so I had everything I needed.

I am looking forward to cooking a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner, who doesn’t love corned beef !

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

    1. Aren’t the geese great, thanks, I have tons of outfits for them, and even outfits for every holiday, lol. You have done bunting before and I love it, but I need to learn to sew, so paper was easy for me 🙂

  1. Love that you have different outfits for the geese! That’s hysterical!

And I remember getting pinched in elementary school because I forgot to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day. Longest recess of my life. I’ve got my shirt all ready to go this Sunday because once pinched, twice shy!

    1. You are the first person that knew what it meant 🙂 What a cute story, wear your shirt proudly.

  2. Those geese are so fun! We don’t decorate much here, either, but you reminded me that I have some St. Patrick’s day fabric I bought (two years ago!) to make buntings.

  3. My aunt has a goose like yours and all of the outfits. I think female adults never tire out of dressing up their dolls whether it is their little girls, dogs or their geese! Your fireplace is beautiful! I don’t decorate my mantel except for Christmas because I don’t have the time right now. It is so neat to see what others do. Thank you! ~Thea

    1. Thanks Thea, you are right, we never tire of it, I tried with my dog, but she wasn’t a fan.
